Science Fair & Science Week

Celebrating Science Week at GSPS with our very own Science Fair.

We will be celebrating science week at Golden Square Primary School during week 6, from August 15 to 19th, with a Science Fair.

In preparation for this celebration all students from grades 1 to 6 will undertake a science project.

All projects will be presented and celebrated in week 6 (August 15th to August 19th).

It is important to note that the bulk of the science project, poster and presentation will be completed at home. Parents are encouraged to support their child/children in this endeavour while allowing them to undertake the project as independently as possible.

Teachers will be providing guidance for students at school, periodically checking in and devoting some class time to support students as well.

Science Fair projects are encouraged to follow the scientific method. The scientific method is a guiding process for studying and learning about the world around us. Each student will receive a booklet which outlines the scientific method and can be used by students and their families to guide them through this project.

Prep students will participate in science investigations during class time and are not expected to undertake an independent science fair project at home.

Please read the school newsletter for Science Fair updates and refer to the students’ Science Fair booklets below or contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
