Orientation & Transition Program

Golden Square PS is encouraging all families with perspective new Prep students for  the 2014 school year to participate in our Orientation & Transition Program.

This program involves -:

·         Invitation to attend our open school in Education Week – Friday, 24th May from 2.00pm

·         A school readiness evening – Tuesday 20th August (6.45 – 8.00pm).  This assists parents to ensure their child is prepared to attend school

·         Parent Information Evening -  Wednesday, 16th October (7.00 – 8.00pm)  This night provides more ‘nut & bolts’ information to parents. For example – routines, curriculum, lunch boxes, uniforms etc

·         Small Group visits – variety of dates available in November

  Cyber Safety

Young people today are immersed in digital technologies. They use the internet and mobile phones to socialise, study, exchange ideas and play. While online activity has many benefits, there are also risks. Golden Square Primary School is committed to helping students develop appropriate behaviours when using digital technologies, both at school and home.
